W.I.P. Dragons and Daredevils...A Peek and A Pop Of Color!

Well the hat tricks continue, but I took a side trip down the magical road of dragons,  make believe, and an adorable big eyed boy! What? Yep, decided it was time for a boy to break into the Pop Art Mini world that seems to be dominated by girls!  So I've dreamed up this little daredevil that wears a cape and has dragons for friends! How fun! Here's a couple more sneak peeks of the sketch details and even a look at the colors...just starting to "pop"!
Stay tuned as the journey continues with the big eyed daredevil and the magical dragons...hmmm...wonder if he lives by a sea!?

A boy at last! Love the dragon, I think he really is Puff; I used to love singing that song with the kids at school! Valerie

Thanks Val! Yeah, I kept having that song play over and over in my head while I was working on this one! :)

I have just recently come across your work and I have fallen in love! You are truly creative and extremely talented. I have never worked with oil pastels. Do you mind me asking what brand you would recommend?

Hi, Welcome...glad you have found me and connected! Thank you so much for your awesome comment! You made my day! I use just about anything that I can get my hands on from oil pastel boxes I have picked up in China (which I couldn't pronounce the name if I wanted to hehehe)to the cheap little boxes you can pick up at Wal-mart, but my most favorite is the Cray-pas Expressionist brand. They are not too oily and very reasonably priced. You can find them online or at art supply stores and they can be purchased individually which I like! Black and white seem to be the colors that I need to buy by the case! LOL Wishing you all the best in your creative journey and look forward to seeing what you create! Thanks again for popping in!
