"Santa's Happy Holidays" 12"x18" Oil Pastel copyright 2011
The weather outside might NOT be frightful, but that hasn't stopped Santa from coming to the world of Pop Art Minis! Yep, that's right...he's arrived...a bit early for sure! WHY...you might ask? You can find the answer to that question HERE! (ok, not nice and maybe even a bit naughty to make you look back to find the answer...hmmmm...wonder what list that will put me on?)
On with the show...here's the up close and personals.

I'm not sure I'm ready for Christmas yet, but it's a beautiful sketch!
I just tweeted Halloween as a suggestion, but I see you have some :) Can I ask what medium you use? Is it paint or markers, watercolors...a combination? Just curious...have a nice Sunday!
Thanks Christine and I'm not ready for Christmas yet either, but had to do a redesign on this one for a client! :) Whimsical...I use oil pastel for most of my drawings! Thanks for the Tweet....love Halloween!
What an adorable Santa! I love his Santa cap and his eyes.
Send him over here, we've got the frightful weather!
For some reason, looking at this picture makes me want to eat chocolate. No idea why! He sure if one cute Santa baby.
Thanks for the super sweet comments! Chocolate...hmmm...maybe it's because I was eating chocolate when I worked on him! LOL
your santa really has a lot of depth! The colors are so rich looking.
LOVE LOVE LOVE! Of course, I'm partial to Christmas to begin with. LOL :D I do love him and adore the polka dotted "Happy". :)
Happy SS! :)
I like his glistening, big eyes, makes him look young and happy.
Your art style is just delightful ~ I absolutely love your creative characters ~ thanks for your endearing comments on my blog ~ Happy Sketch Sunday ~ namaste, Carol (Share the Creative Journey)
It's frightfully hot here!! Thinking North Pole thoughts are nice. Both Santa drawings are adorable. ^.^
It seems like when you redo your designs, you pick the best parts of the original. I like the details you capture in your art as well as the richness of color.
I can't say enough how much I love not only your designs, but also your color choices, beautiful. In Hawaii, Christmas always comes early because it is always wrapped around shipping times..=)
Just gorgeous...love him...oh and here the weather outside is frightful...worse summer ever...won't stop raining. Unfortunately Christmas will be here before we can say "Snowball"....love your Halloween characters too....
