A W.I.P. Paint Party Friday Pic Post...Getting Closer To The Merry Old Land Of Oz!

Dorothy and Toto, work in progress...sketch on my desk!
12"x18" Oil pastel on paper canvas
I got a little sidetracked last night while working on the pops of color on my lastest mini! Darn that Wicked Witch...she needs to go join the flying monkey's or just melt and get out of the way!  hehehe!  So with still a ways to go on on my trip down the yellow brick road here's a quick pic post update of the progress I've made so far! Dorothy is almost complete...the rainbow has started to pop and Toto is waiting patiently for his fur to become fab!
Oh, my Toto you do look a bit washed out!
Hopefully Dorothy and Toto will arrive in the Merry Old Land of Oz soon!
To Be Continued...but I think we all know how this story will turn out!
Happy Friday!
Put on your ruby slippers and let's dance!!
12"x12" Oil Pastel on paper canvas
Shared over at Paint Party Friday...actually on Friday...I believe my entry for this week should be called "PARTIALLY" Painted Party Friday!
Pop by and see the Well Done and Amazing Art!

Well one thing's for sure - we're not in Kansas anymore!

What a great piece. Kind of like the way Toto is still black and white - like the way the film starts.

And as for those shoes... me want me want me want!!

Beautiful work. I love how Dorothy pop art mini is progressing. I'm sure Toto is patient and won't mind waiting a day or two to get fur. This is wonderful.

Thanks all for the comments...I know I say this everytime, but I really do appreciate that you come by and take a peek at my pop art minis world. Good to know that there's people out there! @Carol...most of the work I've been doing lately has been in the 12"x18" size so not really mini, mini...all oil pastels!
